Welcome Back to School! September is upon us and school has started! I want to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Mara Delaroche and I am the grade 6/7 teacher at St. Joseph's. I have been teaching for the last 7 years with the SCCDSB and I am very excited to be a St. Joseph's Black Knight again! I have had the opportunity to teach a number of different grades and subjects and look forward to working with the students. As a teacher, I have high expectations for my students. I expect everyone to always give their very best effort, show respect for themselves and their peers, as well as our classroom, and take responsibility for their actions. With that being said, I also believe learning should be fun and use a variety of teaching styles to allow for the most academic growth in every child.

As we begin our journey into the 2015-2016 school year I am asking the questions:
1) Why are we here?
2) What do we need to do well together?
3) How can we make that happen?
I think Will.i.am and company have some sound advice.
